I agree with the review before mine. Very poorly laid out and labeled. They have a "information" area which is just a stand that has flyers, no maps or any sort of marking telling you were to go. Then after driving around and finally asking the DNR officer where the lake was, found out it is a 1.5 mile hike to the lake, which isn't bad but the fact that you can't drive to the lake and how poorly labeled everything is it is easy to see why no one goes.

I hope they aren't done developing this area because its really poorly laid out. Its a 1.5 mile hike one way to the fishing lake, there is a road but the public is not allowed to use it. That's a pretty good hike carrying your fishing tackle. They say boats with trolling motors are allowed...I guess you carry your boat the 3 miles to get in and out! The access road to the land south of the prison is mislabeled on the map too. I don't understand, maybe the DNR just want to discourage public use of this land.
