The space is open, clean and inviting. The crowd is mostly college kids and their families, but there is normally a hometown contingent as well. The dining area is kid-friendly.
Good atmosphere, but the food was pretty mediocre. Not sure if it's policy that they don't ask how you want a burger cooked (only been here once) or if I just wasn't asked. Either way, burger was dry and grey throughout. Ordered pepper jack on the burger and they either have no pepper in their Jack or it was the wrong cheese. With bacon added it flirted with $15 for the burger. Pretty steep for what it was.
Not much reason to go back as far as I'm concerned. Cool building at least.
Great food. Great drinks. Plenty of variety in foods and drinks. Excellent and kind service. Its a great place to get drinks and you don't have to worry about a rough crowd.
The food is at least as good as anything else in town and seems to be improving. The waitstaff is diverse and generally professional(and the managers are constantly training new talent) .
Second time I have been there.
At first, this was a great a place to get craft beer and good food. However, over the past 6 months the service has been terrible. The bar staff is rude and they never staff enough waiters, so few in fact that they more often than not have the larger half of the dining room closed. On three different occasions in the past 6 months, I've gone and immediately left because there is so seating and only one waitress. I will not waste my time going there again.
Took a while to flag down our waitress to get the check, though it didn't seem particularly busy - at least on our side. She did refill drinks a couple times at least.
Tried Cajun Chips, which is kind of a weird name for something that's just thicker potato chips. Maybe they were supposed to be spiced with something and someone forgot?
Wife enjoyed her Philly, but also commented that the meat was very tough/ chewy.
Food was good first time. Just normal experience. Today they were busier. I sat at the bar, which is different for me. I didn't look at a menu just asked the bartender what his favorite burger was. It was the burger with the peanut butter, bacon and jalapenos. It was amazing! Go. Try it! And.. I imagine a cold beer would really go well with it. Couldn't do that for lunch! Really great ambiance also.
Really the best place for good beer in Greencastle, with a large and regularly updated stable of taps and an extensive collection of bottled beer as well.
